This caviar comes from the Kaluga sturgeon (Huso Dauricus), also known as the "river beluga", which originates from the River Amur in northern China. Like its cousin the beluga (Huso Huso), it is considered one of the finest and most sought-after varieties of caviar because of its rich, complex flavour.

The taste of the caviar in our Pure Kaluga selection is buttery with hints of hazelnut. The grains are large, shiny, amber in colour and creamy in texture.
